Opposes All Restrictions on Abortion

Even when babies can survive outside the womb

In August 2020, Atlantic Magazine profiled Warnock’s 2020 campaign for Georgia U.S. Senate. The article noted that Warnock was running as an “activist preacher” who “understands how to cloak the radical nature of his message,” and that he “opposes all abortion restrictions.”1

Warnock even opposes laws designed to protect women’s health and safety in abortion facilities. In June 2020, he praised the Supreme Court’s Decision to strike down a Louisiana law which required abortionists to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of where they perform an abortion.2

Refuses to Protect Born-Alive Abortion Survivors

Voted NO to equal medical care for living, breathing babies who have already been born.

In February 2021, Senator Warnock voted against an amendment that would have ensured babies who are born alive after a failed abortion receive the same level of medical care any newborn infant would receive at the same stage of development.3

strong majority (77%) of Americans believe babies born alive during failed abortions should be protected under the law. Georgia is a particularly pro-life state with one of the nation’s strongest laws protecting the unborn, limiting abortion as early as a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

Claims Abortion ``Is Consistent with`` Christianity

In August 2020, WGAU’s Tim Bryant interviewed Warnock on his stances about Abortion. Christian Headlines provided a summary of the interview’s key points. Bryant asked Warnock how his pro- choice views “square with” Warnock “role as a minister, a leader of a church, a man of God.” Warnock replied, “I believe that healthcare is a human right …, and for me, reproductive justice is consistent with my commitment to that.”

Warnock further elaborated and stated, “I believe unequivocally in a woman’s right to choose, and that the decision is something that we don’t want government engaged in – that’s between her and her doctor and her minister.”

When asked if “that God endorses the millions of abortions we’ve had in this country since Roe v Wade?” Warnock replied, “I think that human agency and freedom is consistent with my view as a minister.”
